Cause I've a nightflatrate I would have different connectionssettings for day and night. On day I want to have a low bandwithsetting (30/5) or something and in night I'd like to have full (400/80) or something.
My first idea was to have a cronjob edit preferences.dat and then send a kill -1 to the server, but it turned out that preferences.dat is a binary file and I'm not sure if amule will respond to a SIGHUP as I want.
I was thinking about only having aMule running during night, but then I'll spend my whole aMule-live in queues instead of downloading :)
Sure many people with nightflatrate have this problem.
thnx,

you can easily do this with cronjob and --> amulecmd
but I am not sure this worked with rc8 already...maybe update to 2.0.3 and you can use amulecmd to do what you want
