Title: Using a low port
Post by: blur on January 30, 2004, 01:39:57 PM
Hello
I want to use my aMule using clientport 412 for the TCP and UDP connection. Every time I insert this values under Preferences, Connection, and press Ok, aMule automatically changes them to 1025.
How can I override this?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Can you please make available ports <1025 in the next version? With my provider, the bandwith of all ports below 1000 is throttled...  :(

Why you then want to use a lower port?

hi,
friend of mine has a provied with throttled ports aswell. (tiscali)
but he uses ports above 15000 fine. since there are round about 65000 ports awailible you can also try some high ports. f.e. say 41000 and so on
maybe that workes with your provider aswell

Certainly,  with my probider all ports above 1000 are throttled. 8)

Well, I' use Telefónica as carrier. With them, all ports above 1000 are throttles and all below are not.

I hope the next version will support low port numbers, cause my download is really not good now.
