Hi, all!
Happy new year and so on...
I just tried the new release. And as stated in the title, the amulegui.exe from aMule-Remote-Gui-2.1.0-Win32.zip (http://ed2k://|file|aMule-Remote-Gui-2.1.0-Win32.zip|2646126|A38350DB898CE0CA69CC623724FF37E0|/|h=GT7AHU5VQZFMANVXHZGAKJWTHMBKYDC5|/) (ed2k-Link from this post of Xaignar (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?postid=47224#post47224)) can't connect to my freshly compiled amuled 2.1.0!
The logfile of amuled2006-01-02 11:10:42: Neue externe Verbindung akzeptiert
2006-01-02 11:10:42: Verbinde zu Client: amule-remote 0x0001
2006-01-02 11:10:42: Du kannst nicht zu einer Release-Version von einer CVS-Version verbinden! *seufz* möglicher Absturz verhindert
2006-01-02 11:10:42: Unautorisierter Verbindungsversuch. Verbindung getrennt.
These german lines tell me, that the connection was refused because I "cannot connect to a release version from a CVS version" :]

I just compiled amulegui.exe out of the sources and rezipped it. For a while it [DEL]can[/DEL] could be found at one of my vServers.
It has a considerably different size from the official one, though. Some difference in wxCVS or the configure options?!
@stefanero
Could you please try it? I have the known problems with it in my environment, but it should work for others (I hope).
-- Edit
Removed the links. Not necessary anymore, because of new official upload through .

I think we eitehr upload your version to berlios tonight, or kry has to rebuild it...

No problem. Some very small payback for the work of all of you ;)
Now I only have to solve the problems with amulegui at my site ;(
I think I'll take a dive into the sources. Maybe I find some clues...
-
or maybe start for a test with a clean user on the linux system, and retry....

I forgot one other thing about the "official release" of amulegui.exe:
After the automatic shutdown of amulegui because of the (imagined) version differences, there still was some process named amulegui active in the background. I noticed that, because I tried to copy a new version over the existing one, which was, of course, denied with a "file in use" error.
I had to kill this background amulegui with help of the task manager. To be precise, there have been several of these processes, which I had to kill, because I tried more than one start of amulegui.

CVSDATE faeries strike again.
I'll upload a new binary.

The version available for download does not solve the bug actually, what's going on ?
