a couple of questions........ ( btw - im on mac os x 3.9 )
1. do i trash the previous amule cvs before installing the 2.1.0 ?
2. I dont understand what the wxwidget is all about. I dont use widgits as i'm still on mac os 3.9
could some one put me in the picture ?

Yes, you can simply trash the older CVS version. But you don't have to, you can also just rename the older version or move it to a different folder.

wxWidgets is a library for cross-platform application development, which aMule heavily relies on. It is by no means related to the Dashboard widgets of Tiger, so it doesn't matter if you are running Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4. :)

okay ....do i need to get this xwwidget thing from somewhere to get my 2.1.0
working?

All Mac aMule binaries that we provide already contain all the necessary wxWidgets libraries inside the application. So you don't have to worry about them at all. Just download the Mac zip file, unpack it, move the aMule application to a location of your choice, and double click the application. :)

hi thats great about clearing up the wxwidget info.....
however i already downloaded a mac cvs amule app before xmas & it was fine
but to day i went for the 2.1.0 and i cant get it to open...........
i trashed the previous cvs a.mule before i installed the new 2.1.0
I downloaded it from berlios rather than source forge as i heard there were problems with that
so a bit in a jam.........
1. should i go back to my old cvs app -
2. can i have both installed at same time.......
3. i would like to get the 2.1.0 working.........
just trying to trouble shoot the options
thanks for your time

I just updated the berlios 2.1.0 binary -- please try again. :)
And you don't really "install" aMule, so in principle you can have as many different versions of aMule on your machine as you want. When I was trying to track down a sporadic crash issue with aMule a couple months ago I had about 35 different aMule builds on one of my machines... ;)

is up & running on my mac os x 3.9
