Hi!
I'm new at aMule, and that's when all the problems appear!
I'm running eMule 1.2.6 on MDK 10. I have already compiled and is all correct.
My problem is this:
I'm from Portugal and there are two nacional servers: Tejo and Sado. The problem is that the data about those servers is this:
Name: Tejo
IP Port: tejo.kicks-ass.net : 4661
When I try to connect, amule does a connection to 0.0.0.0:4661
How do I have to configure aMule for this to work?
Second question:
Where do I have to put the file ipfilters.dat? Here we have limited traffic...
-
the file ipfilter.dat must be put on your .aMule folder, on your home.
and:
tejo.kicks-ass.net is not a ip ;)
so you need to do a dns lookup:
kry@Edelweiss:~/amule-dev-cvs/src$ ping tejo.kicks-ass.net
PING tejo.kicks-ass.net (213.22.48.226) 56(84) bytes of data.
try adding that ip (213.22.48.226)
-
OK. About the ipfilter.dat is in place and working. Thanks!
About the server, i know that tejo.kicks-ass.net is not a ip but in emule, that is the "ip" that is in the list and when it connects, the real ip is always different...
Just one more problem: I have aMule in /mnt/win_c and the temp files i'm trying to use are in /mnt/win_d/ but when aMule checks those files, aMule can't open them. Do I have to put the temp files in /mnt/win_c/
Thanks again
-
ehm, /mnt/win_c is windows and u say u have amule there ??
be more verbose please ;)
-
That's right. my mistake. I'm new at this. :)
That was a silly question. I have already understand why is not working. Now my last problem is about those servers... Any help?

we have no hotsname lookup, it seems. you can try to use the ips then... mwhile we don't add it ;)
