Title: Who saw my shared file list?
Post by: x_x_kamikaze_x_x on October 08, 2011, 03:18:56 AM
Hello aMule Team!

These days some Chinese guys are looking my shared comic
collection, but the main problem it is that I can't try to see
her files and/or chat with them because they usually list
my files in order to check what I have new, but they don't
download so the didn't appear on my contact list,
or if they appear, it just for few seconds, so I can't
return the view, chat with them or even add it to
my friend list.  :(
I know they are listing my files because I can see it on
the aMule text log.

I think it would be very useful that have a list of the last
persons that have listed your files or chated with you in order
to, if you on that moment are not present in front of the pc,
have a list that have the function to add to the friend list,
chat and list her files.

I think this add can't be very hard improve because the emule receive
the personal data (id, hash... etc.) of the user when they ask for
the list or send a message and instead of showing in the text registry,
put that on a more useful list (that admit functionalities).  ;D

I hope that I have explained good enough the main idea.

See you on the net!  ;)

Well, it's certainly doable, but no small change either. Main chore is the gui of course.

core:
second friendlist storing everybody who views shared files or starts chat connection.
Only if succesful, that is "view shared to anonymous users" enabled or "accept chat connections from anonymous users" enabled.
Store these events with timestamp in the friend object.
Friends are not added to this list.
list is not stored and gets lost on exit.

GUI:
a) a second list under the current friend list. Would require a sash, and a total hide if feature is disabled. Hmm, better not.
b) a text "25 contact attempts" under the friends list, and a "Show" button.
Opens a new dialog with the list, showing name, time of (last) chat attempt and time of last "view files" attempt.
Options: "move to friend list", "remove", "remove all", "send message", "view files"
(and a debug only "add client to contact attempt list" to get it tested)

EC:
don't support. Neither chat nor view shared files are available in amulegui anyway.

That about sums it up?
Certainly doable, but not before 2.3.1 .

What a pity...

I am going to wait for it, that's sure!  ;D

Because it's a wonderful method to make more
net friends!  ;)
And be sure who is "following" you!  ::)
(Like in twitter)  X-DDD

Thanks for all and keep up the good work!  :)
