Title: [Solved] v2.0.1 && CVS crashes
Post by: Ateo on May 20, 2005, 07:16:21 PM
Crashes only as regular user. Crashes only when I click on the "Transfers" button. I currently have one .part file that loads, a 500+ MB file which may be the culprit. This issue occurs with 2.0.1 and CVS (today's snapshot).

 Crashes with this:

Code: [Select]
Initialising aMule
Checking if there is an instance already running...
Loading temp files from /media/p2p/temp.
Loading PartFile 1 of 1
All PartFiles Loaded.
ListenSocket: Ok.

External connections disabled in config file
*** Server UDP socket (TCP+3) at 0.0.0.0:4664
*** TCP socket (TCP) listening on 0.0.0.0:4661
*** Client UDP socket (extended eMule) at 0.0.0.0:4672
Adding file /media/p2p/temp/003.part.met to shares

Well, the issue was with 2.0.1 at first then I tried cvs with the same outcome..

However, it appeared it was an issue with my user. I killed my user and recreated it and the problem went away.

Any idea why my user suddenly began crashing amule?

in cvs there is some problem with sources and mem corruption atm...thats why that crashes,

why 2.0.1 crashed no clue, when you deleted the used, did you also delete teh .aMule folder? or did you back it up somewhere?

I deleted the .amule folder. I tried using a fresh .amule folder (backing up my original and letting amule recreate) but that didn't do anything so I didn't keep this copy thinking it wasn't the issue. Sorry.
