I haven't noticed any problems with searches.
If you are doing local searches, try connecting to one of the big servers (e.g., DonkeyServer No.1). If you are doing global searches, make sure you are using a decent server list. You can also try Kad search and see how that works for you.

EDIT:
Just noticed that you put aMule 2.0.0 in the title. That was most likely just a mistake, but if not, you should really update to the current version of aMule... ;)

And if it wasn't a mistake it totally explains your difficulties with searching.  There have been changes to the most popular server software (lugdunum).  It requires changes in how clients submit searches to the server.  As a result, older versions of client software can no longer perform searches with servers running this new server software.

Updating to a newer version of aMule will solve this.

problems with searches on 2.0.0

Merci lionel, thank iu ken,
it was'nt a mistake, but the 2.0.0 mule was running so nicely on my Panther's back and was so active during this year that I just did'nt have the idea (nor time) to update. A friend of mine was in a same case, so every day we discovered a new server (generous the day before) wasn't answering our questions. At first the big ones and now the little ones, now all lugdunum served  I suppose. A almost recent observation. And the only one problem with my fair old mule, very stable and efficient.
So, thank's a lot, I will tupdate.
Must I try the brand new released 2.1.3 ?
May be, one more question : Lionel, how to do that Kad search ? ( sorry for my innocence)
Merci beaucoup en tout cas…

When there's already a Panther-build for 2.1.3 then you can directly upgrade to 2.1.3, if not just use 2.1.2 until there's one.

Kad was first introduced in aMule 2.1.0 (or eMule 0.4x something) and is a decentral and serverless network. To start a KAD-search you just have to choose the search type 'kad' and start a search.

Salut!

Edit: /Me sneaked behind lionel? Never... :))

Excellent, another mystery solved. :)

Yes, I would update to 2.1.3 if I were you. I'm in the process of creating the Mac binaries of 2.1.3 as we speak. In about 1-1.5h they should be ready for people to download. So check back soon. :)

Concerning Kad search, your old aMule version does not support the Kad network yet, so you would not know how to do that. Kad search is an option in the same pull-down menu as 'local' and 'global' search in newer versions of aMule.

EDIT:
Oh, wuischke must have snuck past me. ;)
