Hi there,
I'm running aMule 2.1.3 on my Debian 3.1 box. I'm connected to the Internet through an ADSL modem and a router. My router is given a static IP address by my ISP.
It's now been several weeks that I can't connect to any ed2k servers. Of course, my first idea was to check my TCP & UDP ed2k ports to see whether they are firewalled or not. After checking, they are not. Just to be sure, I also try to connect my box to the Internet using only my ADSL modem, without the router, but the results were the same.
Then I run ethereal to look at the network traffic. Here is the result (my local IP is 192.168.1.2 and I was trying to connect to 62.241.53.2:8080) :

Packet #4 doesn't get any answer (not even a TCP ACK). That's the problem, but I still don't know the reason...
Then I tried to connect the same machine to the Internet through a good old 56k modem. Note that I didn't get my usual static IP address, but a dynamic one. I run ethereal and amule again and this time I was able to connect to the server without any problem. Here is the log :

So... it's a mystery to me. It looks like my ADSL connection doesn't let me connect to an ed2k server anymore. Could it be that my static IP address is blacklisted somewhere ? What other reason could it be ?
Any idea/suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Regards,
Patrick
