And we use a forum to host the binaries. So what?

Nothing is really wrong with the forums, but things could just be presented in a nicer way.
You know, with these cute distro icons and stuff to make finding a possibly working package very easy.

This is not really high priority, but a nice thing to have.

BTW: Do we have PHP with gettext?

Nothing. Sky is not gonna fall.
But this is inconvenient and annoying to no end. And for no particular reason.

Why is it inconvenient? They arrive to the forum and they have the downloads there. What's the problem?

I seriously fail to see the problem. There are sticky threads with the distro name. What's the problem?

Problem is someone looking for "download aMule for my Linux" will be looking for "download" in homepage. Not some topic in forums. Especially considering the  fact, that we DO have download page.
It's not so hard to understand: download section in homepage -> for downloads; forum -> for discussions.
