Hi ronson!

Which version of aMule (name of the archive) are you using on which system? (OS version, processor, RAM)

You need to start the cvs version with:
/Applications/aMule.app/Contents/MacOS/amule --i-would-marry-my-mule

Also, don't include the "; exit" and keep the terminal window open as long as you are running aMule (you can hide it with command-h, though, so that it does not clutter your screen).

BEWARE of using "Command h" to hide aMule, because eventually it will not show again. This is a serious bug of aMule that requires a fix, as repoted for other applications like After Effects 7.0. More information here:

A problem in After Effects 7.0 causes it to enter a state where it can not be unhidden after being hidden under some circumstances.

I'm not completely convinced that those two issues are related. I think Ken mentioned at some point that there is a bug in OS X's window handling that can cause a window to vanish under rare circumstances (particular under heavy system load). But I am just shooting into the blue here.
