Greets.
Before posting, i checked the page on wiki related on problems with amule: unfortunately, some retard edited it filling with porno-related links.

This is the problem: my amule is stealing lot of cpu, although i have ONLY 1 file (a 8mb mp3) with 1 font in download.
- amule version 2.1.3, OS fedora 8
- upload queue always empty
- CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+
- RAM: 1 Gb (more than 70% free)

I've tried to disable as most function as possible in order to spare CPU: the statistics have been disabled, the queue reduced to smallest size available, enabled the source dropping. So far i had no results: CPU average usage is 5-6% for a couple of minutes, then it jumps to 99% for about 10 mins.

Anyone can give me some help?

use a recent tarball and/or use aMuled instead of aMule it uses alot less CPU and you can always check/view it with aMuleGUI ..
