Today I updated my aMule to the 2.2.1 final on my Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron box. Ever since I'm unable to get a high-ID when connecting (to any server).

Before updating to the final version my aMule SVN worked smoothly. No problems, no low-IDs. I did not change any ports, nor did I change my router config. All the ports are being forwarded correctly. I'm at my witt's end.

Any ideas? Could this be some bug in 2.2.1?

It works for me with 2.2.1 but in the first time I had the same problem. I changed amule tcp and udp ports to 4713 and 4714 and now its green. I don´t know the reason it worked, and in fact it should not, but it may deserve a try.

I tried changing the ports (as well as the my router config of course) but that doesn't solve the problem. I keep getting low-IDs wherever I connect. Very frustrating.

Try doing a telnet <your_machine> <your_port> from another computer to know if its a router o an amule problem. Also make sure that ufw (firewall) is either not active or properly configured...

Problem solved. I reset my router. Now it works.

Very, very strange, because all the time other web and p2p applications ran without any port problems through the exact same router.

(I feel al little dumb now.)
