merge Preferences box in main window
« on: August 21, 2010, 07:30:32 PM »

every "tab" on top have it's own interface integrate the main window.
I'm wondering why Preferences have a secondary interface, is possible to merge all in one window?

It's common practice to open preferences in a popup dialog (like in Firefox). Also, the prefs are usually much smaller than the main window and would look silly if stretched up to that size.

this means that you can optimize space between sections

Yeah, IMHO it's better to have a separate window for preferences!

by the way, this behaviour is not diffused in other applications.

Not true AFAIK, chrome/chromium and firefox are going to show preferences in a tab... it could be interesting to me, do at least a mock up...
