aMule 2.2.6 crash Linux Mint 12 64 bit
« on: January 17, 2012, 08:59:55 AM »

Hi,

aMule 2.2.6 crashes now and again, sometimes after 10 mins or so from login, sometimes it runs all day, and then dies. It never dies when I do something in particular. Sometimes aMule eats up cpu so browsing everything goes v slow then it dies.

Current version is: aMule 2.2.6 using wxGTK2 v2.8.11

forgot to say, if I run from command  line

aMule&

I get lots of

** (amule:4420): CRITICAL **: murrine_style_draw_box_gap: assertion `height >= -1' failed

but sometimes it happily runs all day with no issue, so don't know  if that is relevant or not!

It isn't. You have to use wxWidgets 2.8.12 , that's the key.

Been fine now, thanks. I posted that link as I, and perhaps other would rather not build from scratch. Not done it in a while, but last time I couldn't get it to work, I can't remember why not now.

Whatever works best for you.  :)
Building it is really no big deal. And it has the advantage you don't have to mess with your package system. No idea what happens if the distro updates to the same version some day and they collide or something like that.
