Ed2k link catcher lan -> emule
« on: May 21, 2004, 04:45:37 PM »

There is a windows app called ed2k link catcher that forwards the ed2k link when you click on it, but when i get my fedora(or gentoo not sure atm) linux machine up and running i want to use amule instead of emule plus.
I know there is the webserver were you can also add ed2k links manually, but is there a way to let a windows based machine send ed2k links(on click) to the linux based amule machine?
If not then this is a feature request  :baby: , the only big "problem" would be to write a small app for windows so that links can be send to amule(with password and all).
Unfortunatly i am not a coder(yet), but if some of the many devs could find some time to add this it will be great :D

PS: mayb it could still use this app, but only make amule compatible with it?

Maybe this could be done throught amulecmd someday by writing a Batch or Windows script which calls it. But it won't work now since amulecmd lacks lots of commands including adding ed2k links to download ;-) Also, I'm not sure if it would even compile in Windows, I never tried it.
I guess this is a feature to think of when 2.0.0 is out with full Windows support.
Greetings and thanx! :-)
