I can only put one file in download
« on: May 21, 2005, 10:26:33 AM »

Hi,

I have aMule 2.0.1 and I can put only one file in download. I already tried to delete the .amule/* configuration files but it did not help.

What can I do?

I can not!!!
I double-click, I click the download-button. He does not accept a second file.
When I start aMule from the command line then I get something like "cannot create file...".

Ideas?

this are the folder permissions:

drwxr-xr-x    2 Karl     users        4096 2005-05-20 19:31 Incoming
drwxrwxrwx    2 Karl     users        4096 2005-05-21 00:26 Temp

When aMule finishes the "one" file, he can copy it to the Incoming folder.

I really dont have a clue whats wrong with your system, 2things you can check

1st. move the .aMule folder from your homedir, to .aMule2
mv .aMule .aMule2

and restart amule with clean settings, and maybe dotn change the temp and incomming folder right away,
connect to teh network, seach for knoppix and start 2-3 different versions and see if that works

2nd. try run amule as root for testing purpose, and see if that works, but just for test. if it works as root, there is some problem with your setting for the user

PS: what type of partition is it you are trying to write on? vfat?

Hi,

I just realized that I did not answer on your posting yet.

After your posting, I checked the file system. Actually I went as root in the temp folder and tried to delete all the files. I got many errors like can not delete 035.part.
With a dir all this files were not to be seen. Quite strange....
I reformatted the disk and now it works. I still wonder how it was possible to make one file work, but not the others.

Thank you very much for your help
