"Minimized at tray" problem.
« on: November 30, 2008, 04:37:43 AM »

Hi!  :)

I have Kubuntu Hardy AMD64 (KDE 3.5.10, kernel 2.6.24-22-generic) and amule 2.2.2 (from getdeb.net).

Right-click on tray icon->hide amule is not working. The interface is remaining visible.
Seems like there is a good reason for it!  ;D

If I activate at preferences, "minimize to tray icon", it indeed gets minimized to tray (only tray icon visible, no other visible interface).
However, this is very problematic.
While amule is minimized at tray, if I launch another program (eg. firefox), amule is just disappearing  from tray and all in-out traffic stops.
(Random effect, chances ~20%).

The same is happening, when no other program launched, but just a lot of time has passed (eg. 5 hours or more).
(Maybe an invisible OS service)?

The workarround is very simple. Just running amule at no "minimize at tray" option.
When there is a visible amule interface, amule never crashed here.  ;)
