amuleweb crash
« on: June 05, 2006, 05:43:29 PM »

Hi,
I compile many version of amule, and when i try to use the web based client after some clicks, amuleweb (webserver) crash and is listed with the ps command like that:
amuleweb (defunct)
The amule daemon works fine but after the crash i cant no more check my DL
I use many template for this, the default one and one very simple i made to check if the problem persist.

Anyone experience the same problem?

thx
Baron-Robert!

version used: 2.1.2 & 2.1.1

No error message appear in the amule console (i ran amuled -o)

The only way to see amuleweb is defunct, is to type ps -A or by using a browser and wait for the error (the page cannot be displayed)

In amule.conf i set the general debug line:
Cat_General=1

next question :-)

Does it mean that you tried both ? Or you have installed both ?
In any case make sure that:
* You have only 1 (one) version installed in any given time
* You read wiki about configuring webserver with amuled

I only have one version installed (actually 2.1.2)! but i tried both. I just read the wiki and i use a similar method to compile (i dont use the --disable-monolithic)
For the compilation i use this options:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/amule-2.1.2CVS --enable-ccache --enable-amule-daemon --enable-amulecmd --enable-webserver --disable-amule-gui --disable-cas --disable-wxcas --disable-alc --enable-alcc

I'm on fedora 4 with the lastest updates & wxGTK-2.6.3

amuled doesn't enable webserver automagically. You should change configuration manually (or use monolitic amule to set desired options).

lfroen it sounds to me that it works fine in the beginning, and then after a while it crashes...
so that means its configured correctly oterhwise he could not login ;)

If he (she) can login, please tell what are those "some clicks" that crashes amulweb.
BTW: Usually if amuleweb crashes, backtrace is printed.
