Ubuntu 6.06

Here's the usual not-so-perfect Checkinstall-build of aMule 2.1.3

It uses wxGTK 2.6.3 which you can download here: http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=3449927
See this post for additional information.

It's one package for all (yes, I was still too lazy to spend some more time reading about deb-packages :( )
configure-options:
Code: [Select]
./configure --enable-optimize --enable-amule-daemon --enable-amulecmd --enable-webserver --enable-amule-gui --enable-cas --enable-wxcas --enable-alc --enable-alcc

Here you are my packages:
http://italy.copybase.ch/blog/informatica/linux/amule-213-ubuntu-dapper/

Compiled with:
Code: [Select]
./configure prefix=/usr mandir=\${prefix}/share/man infodir=\${prefix}/share/info enable-optimize enable-amule-daemon enable-amulecmd enable-webserver enable-amule-gui enable-wxcas enable-alc
Available for x86 and 686 archs.

Replaced desktop pixmap with a better one ;)

I've also been busy :

Here is the Dapper 64 version of aMule 2.1.3, with the same options as wuischke ;)

http://methu.free.fr/ubuntu/amule_2.1.3-1_amd64.deb

Code: [Select]
same procedure as always :
    > download smwhere
    > in a terminal, cd to the directory where you downloaded aMule64
    > sudo dpkg -i amule_2.1.3-1_amd64.deb
Have fun ^^

nb: don't hesitate to report any bugs in this version, this way I can learn and always make better releases :p

Well, if you feel to use just another Ubuntu-Repo with some usability limitations (packages are not signed) then you could add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list :
Code: [Select]
deb http://wuischke.pytalhost.org dapper amule wx vlcFeatures:
  • most recent wxGTK 2.6.3 from debian/testing compiled for Ubuntu (without debug packages)
  • aMule 2.1.3 compiled against wxGTK 2.6.3
  • VLC 0.8.4 compiled against wxGTK 2.6.3 to avoid the problems after updating wx

Yes, it does support Kad. Please load a new nodes.dat (Click on the network-icon, select the KAD-tag and click on the blue arrow on the left side to download a new one) and try it again.

wuischke, would you mind allowing HTTP directory listings on http://wuischke.sam-city.com/dists/ and below? That way it would be much easier to download/access the packages individually/manually.

Very huge thanks to you for pointing this out to me, I always used ftp to access the server.

Oh, if I'm already onto this ;) : Thanks for your big engagement here!

FTP access is not public, it needs login credentials. ;)

Nah, I just meant that I never got to know that dir-listing isn't enabled, 'cause I've never tested it.
