'age' column, filter transfers, amulegui for OSX
« on: June 30, 2006, 12:27:35 AM »

Hello

I just migrated from mldonkey, and amule is doing great IMHO.

However, I see 3 features that are useful but missing in amule:

- First, I would like to see a 'age' column in the GUI, showing when the file has been added to downloads, or the elapsed time since it was added.
It is useful to remove files that have 'disappeared' from the network or that are incomplete, from time to time.

- Next, I think the ability to filter the files in the transfer window would be useful.

- And finally, I can't manage to compile an OSX version of amulegui. Could it be added in future releases?

Anyway, thanks for amule, and keep up the good work!

Yes, a "date added" column would probably be a good feature.

Have you taken a look at categories? They are not as dynamic as a filter would be, but they make organizing your downloads so simple that you might be better off than with a filter based solution.

I had planed on including amuled and amulegui with my builds a few month ago, but then a lot of issues with compiling wx and amule (including amuled and amulegui) came up, so that I have not come around to do so. I'll see what I can do.
