Stable Version for large File support
« on: November 17, 2006, 09:07:48 AM »

Hello together,

i am looking for a stable version of amule for large file support.

Is there anyone online?

If not. Is the amule installation independet, so that i can test the cvs version without changing the configuration of my current stable and working version?

Thanks for help

Large file support is present only in current SVN code. But it is very stable (at least for me!). I'm not sure if you can just compile and replace the binaries, I fear that there is some differences in amule.conf. BUT you can follow emule migration istructions to preserve your credits and ID hash. Bye!!!

You can use two different aMule with the same config files. Even though there are some additions in the config file, this won't affect the old stable version.
(e.g. your stable mule is in /usr/bin and a locally compiled aMule SVN in /usr/local/bin)

If you want to use different config files you have to create a new user.
