aMule can use a global mesure of data tranfer to determine limits, a user has upload 5Gb and has donload onely 1G of data can download with no speed limit!!
i need to say amule to upload a maximu of 7G/ mount too

this can help low band users (change G for a smoller multiplicator)

If i understood you correctly, you have a 10Gbyte upload+download limit, right?

If thats the case, emule is not for you, sorry; it needs unlimited upload, since you will be uploading constantly but waiting for downloads.

Thats the way it is, not much can be done.

For your case, i would try another P2P, like Bit Torrent, or use IRC xCC or FTP.

You can check in statistics the amount of bytes that've been transfered. Checking that it's not got to 10GB in the upload total would be enough. You can download up to that point so, aMule is useful untill then. Most other P2P networks have the same problem and, anyway, using a P2P network and not sharing is, not only selfish, but also not caring about the networks live, so it is also bad for you. Limit you upload speed if needed (limitting it to 10KBps would be enough to have an unlimited download speed).
Greetings!

i want share, i eavy donwload rarelly , if amule think in these limit i can use it all the time for share.  but as it not make it, i stop it to avoid over usage of my concetion and later i forget to reactivate it the next mount. Finaly i share no more than 10 or 20 G / year, were i can share near 120G !. i think all adsl users has the some problem. (at last in belgium and french.)

i request a quota suport for emule, not really a upload/download ratio change, eventualy a auto riser upload speed when download can help to limit exesive usage too and alow a controled amount of sharing. finally a conditional upload/download ratio change can be used too.

Think different! (as mac users ;-) )
