Thank you, wuischke. Sorry for the delay in replying, but the forum must have gone down before I saw your answer. I'm a Mac user so am not sure about right-clicking, but imagine that with some combination of control and click, I can reproduce PC Windows OS behaviour.
I see the attached image below in aMule Preferences/Directories/Shared Directories. If Iclick on the grey arrow to the left of this folder to open it, I find that it has the whole contents of my computer in it, including all my work, programs, system folder, personal stuff, everything. Does this mean that I am sharing the whole of my computer with other P2P program users? I hope not as that would be very scary.
If I doublelick on one of the folders within this first folder that has everything in it, the folder I have double-clicked on goes bold, and the colour of the folder with everything in it changes colour from orange to red. Is this the sign that something in the red folder is being shared, specifically and only the folder that appears in bold?
It says '(Right click on folder icon for recursive share)'. How do I know whether I have done the Mac equivalent of right-click or not? Nothing is in bold, but the whole contents of my computer are in this folder icon. IF I have (unknowingly in the past) done the equivalent of right-click, how do I remove this folder at once from the 'Shared Directories' window pane, so that it cannot be shared? Or does everything on one's computer automatically appear in 'Shared Directories' even though it is not shared until marked in bold by the user?
Worried, Nick
