permissions to amule directory too strict????
« on: April 27, 2007, 02:21:30 AM »

to fix this it says I must set read/writeexec permissions for the folder c:...\...\appdata\roaming\amule

I have looked at this folder and do not understand how to change it..

I have a pentium core duo 2 running windows vista.

Thank you!!!!

On windows XP it would be right-click over the temp and incoming folder, and changing the permissions on the security tab. I have no idea how it's done on vista, but it should be the same.

Regards.

Got the same problem under windows Vista, changing permissions doesn't solve the problem. -

Did you install aMule to program files? it seems vista does not allow write to that folder. Install to another one, for example c:\aMule.

Format and use XP? :D I don't know why the solution of using c:\amule doesn't work, it seems to be the workaround for emule, it should also work for aMule i think. Unfortunately, no windows machine here to test :(

Regards.
