Games...
« on: March 29, 2004, 05:17:07 PM »

Hi. I know that theer are some games (like sims, unreal...) available for linux. I'd like to know if there is a site with information of games like that (when I say this I don't mean in game type but games that come from windows like myst, zeus, etc...) for linux...
Thanks...

xvid is a video codec...
you need a player like xine or mplayer, if you are a begginer I recommend you mplayer but if you have a slow machine xine is the best option!

can you provide more details... like the meta info (you can get this viewing the properties of the file with konqueror)
Have you tried another file?

Video codec: xvid
Audio codec: Unknown (I know it's AC3 but I couldn't find the codec for linux yet...)

Still, it should play without sound, right?

check this   link for AC3

After install this and xvid you should recompile xine-lib for xvid and ac3 support...
after this you should see your movie :)
