how do I install the 2.2.1 upgrade

I know I am stupid  but how do I install the  2.2.1 upgrade ???? have got 2.2.1.tar.bz also opened it to aMule-2.2.1 all on my desktop, but just can't remember how to install :-[

What GNU/Linux distribution you use?

What you downloaded is the source code. You either have to compile or wait for someone to create a package for your operating system.

For Linux beginners, are there some instructions on how to compile the source and install the program ?

It is better use packages than compile aMule source
