aMule closes when left running overnight on Linux
« on: July 13, 2008, 10:05:57 AM »

Morning,

I just started using aMule yesterday. I configured it all well and left it running over night. When I got up at night aMule was no longer running - it has simply closed and all I could see was an empty desktop. So I restarted aMule. When I got up in the morning the same had happened - empty desktop and no aMule.

I've also posted on the Linux Ubuntu forum in case it's something with the Operating System.

Thank you

The same happened to me. Usually I use amule-daemon on a linux machine without x server, and never had stability problems so far, but this weekend I have been running amule 2.2.1 on my laptop (with ubuntu 8.04) and we it was running a few hours it simply disapeared. I tried a few times without other programs running with no success.

Also I had this problem (on Gentoo Linux amd64 gcc-4.1.2 glibc-2.6.1) but now after I've recompiled crypto++-5.5.2 with CXXFLAG= -O1 and update wxGTK-2.8.8.0 and recompile amule-2.2.1 then it remained open alla the night. wxGTK coused only one crash after closing a search panel but no reproducible.
I've compiled crypto++ with sse2 option, wxGTK with X odbc opengl pch unicode and amule with geoip gtk nls stats unicode upnp.

 :)
