amule crashes after a couple of hours (dlink dir300)
« on: August 05, 2008, 09:57:12 PM »

hi!
I have bought a dlink dir300, and since I am using it amule crashes after a couple hours running...
it is via utp cable, no wireless, and the 3 amule ports opened...

before this hardware addition amule was very stable...

I am using arch linux 32bits
and amule svn version from june 28 (I was using it all these days, and it was really ok)

any idea?

You didn't enable debug information, please include the flag --enable-debug in configure

Kry, thats when compiling? or where?

when compiling I used this flags:

  ./configure --prefix=/usr \
              --disable-optimize \
              --disable-embedded_crypto \
              --enable-debug \
              --enable-cas \
              --enable-wxcas \
              --enable-amule-daemon \
              --enable-amulecmd \
              --enable-amule-gui \
              --enable-alc \
              --enable-alcc \
              --enable-webserver
              --enable-geoip

enable-debug is there... I made it based on the aur pkgbuild, http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=3232
(well, the pkgbuild have debug disabled, I changed it, of course...)

Please make sure that the resulting executable is not stripped after being created (there must be no "strip" command, and the linker mustn't get any -s or -S parameter (-Wl,-s or -Wl,-S in LDFLAGS)).

well, it is strange, but I am using it without a crash after a couple of days...

it would be a good idea to close this thread? or edit the subject to something...
I will start a new one if I have new crashes...
