Fedora SVN packages
« on: December 03, 2008, 02:37:09 PM »

You can find Fedora aMule SVN  32bit packages at my website:

http://www.webalice.it/iz0bbz/amule.html

Please note that not *every* SVN release is built; I make a new RPM build when SVN has new features, fixes significative bugs or so.
Packages are compiled  against shared fedora development libraries (wxGTK-devel, cryptopp-devel etc. ) .
GeoIP & uPnP features included.

A personal YUM repository is available for enabling automatic updates of aMule SVN packages.
Please follow instructions in the "Enabling aMule SVN repository in yum" section of my webpages.

I added today the first SVN package (9622) for Fedora 11 prerelease  :)

And I slightly change the thread subject removing references to Fedora 10. Currently, my aMule SVN repo for Fedora provides SVN packages for F9, F10 and from now on F11 Leonidas.

Hi, I think what you are doing is great and would like to do the same for the Fedora 14 x86_64 package. I already have been compiling the SVNs for my own use and thought it would be good to make them RPMs so everyone can have access since RPM Fusion is so far behind and their package is not working well with Fedora.  Would you mind emailing me, I am having a problem with the spec file and was wondering if you could send me a copy of the one you are currently using. Also I would like to discuss putting the files in your repository when they are ready. Thank you very much and  Happy Holidays to you!

The spec file is always in the source rpm package. Just get it from my repository.

Soon.

If you already switched to F15 Beta, amule packages shouldn't be in your top-ten problem list...

I've posted SVN 10562 packages for Fedora 15.

Other news:
I plan to regularly build SVN version on Fedora 15 only when wxGTK 2.8.12 will be officially released to Fedora 'updates' repository - it should happen soon, because this package is already in 'updates-testing'.
At the same time, I'm dropping support for Fedora 12, because 1) it is outdated 2) wxGTK 2.8.12 is a prerequisite to newer amule builds, and there are no more official package updates for this Fedora version.
