UPnP Error in amuleweb
« on: June 12, 2009, 01:00:01 AM »

Hi!

I hope this is the correct place!

I used to use amuled and amuleweb in my home server but since the last upgrade I have done in my OS (Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04) amuleweb is having troubles starting.

This is the code I obtain:
Code: [Select]
This is amuleweb 2.2.4
$ amuleweb
Creating client...
Succeeded! Connection established to aMule 2.2.4
../../../../src/UPnPBase.cpp(868): bound to 192.168.1.5:50002.
../../../../src/UPnPBase.cpp(939): Critical message: UPnP Error: CUPnPControlPoint::AddPortMapping: WAN Service not detected.

I have to say that I have changed my router recently as well as my OS architecture, I am running 64bit now.

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 64bit and amuleweb 2.2.4

How can I fix this?

Cheers!

Well, after too much coffee I have found that the problem is likely to be my rooter which does not come by default with upnp enabled...

I will try to enable it by telnet (because it does not have the option in the web admin tool)

You can close this now.

P.S.

@Kry, I have felt rather rejected after your closing my other topic:

You could just say what is the proper section, or if possible, just move it. But such brusque manners do but harm

And after some searching inside the forum I have seen your luck of kindness everywhere.
Please, don't be rude...

Thanks anyway.

I could. But this has been done so many million times that the section "Forum help" has a text under it saying Questions about our board, NOT ABOUT AMULE . I can't help if people can't read. I'm sorry you think it has been rude, but for every person like you (I believe yours was a real mistake) there are 30 people that don't actually give a shit reading anything before posting their thread. If I indulge you, I have to indulge everyone.

Don't take it personally.

I see you are absolutely right.  :)

But that the monotony of your responsibility as admin does not excuse your harshness.

I am sorry for exaggerate that so much  :-\, I have just found you familiar, and I wanted to let you know yourself from another perspective.

Bye!

Edit.
I guess that is done. Topic locked.

I am perfectly aware of how harsh I am. I am a complete asshole.
