Amule crashes on osx 10.4.11
« on: June 16, 2009, 07:13:51 AM »

Hi all,
I had a previous version of Amule (I don't remember which one) and yesterday it suddenly started to crash each time I tried to start it.
The donkey icon on the dashbar just made a couple of jumps and then...nothing.
Today I downloaded the latest version of amule from this site, hoping that it would work but, it just crashes exactly as the previous one.
Does anyone have and idea about how to solve it?
Thanks in advance

Posting your aMule logfile might help. It should be located in the .aMule folder of your home directory.

You find logfile under your user's folder in Library/Application Support/aMule/
Try to launch aMule from Terminal (you find it in Utilities) so:
Code: [Select]
/Applications/aMule-2.2.5/aMule.app/Contents/MacOS/amuleand post the output.

Note: The path changes depending on where you copied aMule application.

I am running mac 0sx 10.5.8 and i used to have the same problem. how i solved it is:

1. delete the amule application from the applications folder
2.go to document, library, application support, delete the amule file there
3. reinstall amule
Done!

no idea what is the problem, but after i have done this the problem is solved. ;D
