[Important] HOWTO post information about an aMule crash
« on: May 27, 2008, 01:33:41 AM »

Hi all!!

You can help to improve aMule in a simple way. When aMule crashes you can send a bug report trying to give us as much information as you can about your system and related aspects of aMule.

At least you should consider telling us the following:

-> Operating System

GNU/Linux distribution (Debian, Ubuntu, Suse, Fedora, Mandriva, ...) Windows (XP, Vista... ), MacOS X (10.4, 10.5....), *BSD, Solaris, ...

Please, for GNU/Linux you must specify distribution and its corresponding version.

-> aMule version

 * aMule 2.1.3 is a very old version that is not under development anymore. Please avoid reporting errors related to that version.

 * Please, Do not post about crashes of aMule SVN Snapshot: Mon Feb 18 2008

 * It is very important that if you use a development (SVN) version you grant us the revision number of it.

-> Other things:

 - Platform (32 or 64 bits),
 - What you were doing when the problem occurred,
 - The use of amule or amuled (amule daemon) or amule gui ...

And whatever you think might be the cause of the problem  ;D

 * At last but not least, it would be a great help to generate a backtrace to facilitate the work of the developers.

Important. The backtrace should be sent to this forum:
