You can easily get backtraces of amule crashes in Fedora with the 'abrt' daemon & related tools.
But I noticed that some time ago abrtd stopped catching amule SVN backtraces when using self made binaries.
This is because abrtd, in its default configuration, captures crashes and oops of programs belonging exclusively to gpg-signed packages coming from Fedora official repositories
If you want to (re-) enable abrt processing for your own amule binaries, you need to set "OpenGPGCheck = no" in /etc/abrt/abrt.conf .
Alternativley, if you install amule from self-made signed rpms (as I do), you can include a link to your personal rpm gpg signature in /etc/abrt/gpg_keys .
