Unable to download in Amule - can upload OK
« on: October 29, 2003, 01:29:38 PM »

For some reason I am finding myself unable to get ANY sources whatsoever in Amule.

I can upload fine, and I have also tried installing Xmule to test to see if that had the same problems. It doesn't...

Using the exact same settings, server, files, firewall etc...  I can download/upload fine in Xmule, but can only upload in Amule...?

I have tried re-downloading Amule 1.1.0 and compiling it again, but this hasn't helped. Everything appears to run quite smoothly until I try and download something. I then just get no sources coming up for the file (when I know there are some).

I am running Mandrake 9.2 if that makes any difference, I used to run Amule 1.1.0 fine on Mandrake 9.1 however...

Any ideas/suggestions would be most appreciated, as well as any reports of a success on Mandrake 9.2 :o)

I noticed that too, using both aMule and xMule alternate.

As for now, trying aMule CVS (compiled 2h ago), I noticed if I disable ALL compiling optimizations, I have no trouble to find sources and download (even if it's still a bit slower than xMule).

Btw, new icons look cute :-D

i finally managed to compile amule 1.1.2, but i still have the "no sources" problem, even if i run it with the env command.

maybe the following is related to the problem?:

looris@lano:~€ env LANG=C LC_ALL=en_EN LANG=en_EN LC_MESSAGES=C amule

Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library
