Bandwidth divide option
« on: November 16, 2003, 11:19:16 PM »

I just thought of something that would come in handy with releases.

Could it be possible to implement an option to divide your upload bandwidth (% or KB) for files which have a different priority?

Example:
I share 4 files. And my upload is 20KB.
1 of those files priority is set on release.
And I've set the divider on 80% of total. (thats 16KB)
Now when someone requests this file, (s)he gets 100% of my reserved upload.
If 2 request this file they get both 50% of 16KB. etc..
If no one requests this file all upload is shared between the rest.

This way, the files set on release are spread faster then when all bandwith is evenly divided.

If it is easy to implement, it would be nice to have this setting for all the different priority settings.

It would also be interesting to be able to assign a certain bandwidth to any file (download or upload).
