One version is using wxWidgets 2.9.5, and the other one wxWidgets 3.0.2.

Has anyone tried this binary on macOS Sierra? The version that was specifically compiled for Sierra is not working well for me, but even if this one is supposed to be for ElCapitan, I don't see why it shouldn't work, right?

Yes, you can also use it with macOS Sierra.
For me, at least, is working fine so far...

I did not include macOS Sierra because I was not able to test on that OS version the produced binaries by the time of the aMule 2.3.2 release...

I tryed both with El Capitan, but no one works. 2.9.5 crashes on start up! I returned to 2.3.1 that, in fact, works really bad with constant crashes (at least it works).

I tried the version with wxWidgets 2.9.5 on a 2009 iMac with Yosemite and every time I click on the button to clean the search results, the main toolbar disappears, it freezes for two seconds and finally crashes.

I just found that it also happen when I manually close the last tab from the Search window. If you want, I can reproduce the problem and send you the crash report.

I just compiled a less "risky" version using more stable wxWidgets 2.8.12, using Carbon, so the new binary is a 32 bits binary again.

Is compatible from Snow Leopard to Sierra:
