I was searching for an eMule for Linux, and aMule was the closest and had a vibrant community, so aMule I chose, and I am happy.

I switched from w2k to Linux (cause I changed from PIII-800 to AMD-XP 1400 and youldn't belive it's slower with w2k)
I used manny years edonkey then emule so there be a need for me to have a client on my linux

I startet with Debian an after a try with mldonkey I searched for anotherone cause in my oppinion to heavy.
Found in the database lmule xmule and amule after a try, amule seems to be the best (release futures) for me.

I changed to gentoo and still on it, I like the functions, simple and very usefull for me.

P.S. Many things are not as complicated as they're done in Windows.

I tried few times change from WINXP to Linux....but there were always some Compatibility problems with the other WINXP-Pc's here at home...(i still have some...but i'm shure the community will help me to fix them...)

But now i decided...

I'm away from Micro$oft and their bullshice...

My Linux is MUCH more stable...

And aMule is for me the best thing i could find for Linux...i knew about it years before my change to Linux... (thx mr. google... :P )...

I can only say: True! Find a good releasermod for eMule isn't always easy...and so many releasers (most) use Bad Mods...

But with aMule... No Problem... :)

Couldnt get eMule under Windows to utilize my full upload bandwidth.
I thought that Windows might not be designed to wholeheartedly support filesharing,
and that Linux might be more 'user-orientated'.
So, i looked at what applications other clients used,
and tried to find out which one could be used under Linux.
As i knew eMule, aMule seemed the most logical try.
I'm glad i tried.
