LowID question
« on: August 04, 2004, 08:17:16 PM »

I probably do not have nat, as my local ip is same as my remote ip. I've opened all necessary ports in shorewall, but I still keep getting LowID. What more should I do to get HighID? Please help.

There's a bug on rc5 about lowids. Will be fixed ASAP.

Hope for you that is not your case, but some ISPs are blocking the emule ports themselves...

I don't think that this information will help you, but my ISP is PAI from Lodz, Poland. I've noticed that I can connect only to some servers, eg.  81.23.250.167 and instantly get HighID. Connection to almost every  other one, eg. Razorback2 always times out. Maybe problem is somewhere alse?

As I said, it's a problem on rc5, a bad bug. It's being traced and will be fixed on CVS _very_ soon (the bug has been aldready found :-) ).
For the moment, either downgrade to rc4a or stay connecting to the servers which give you highid :-/
