try to move part.15 somewhere else and restart amule .. and btw, update to 2.0 rc5 .. a lot better and doesn't crash at 'bad' part files

thx for your help! It worked after deleting the file.

After it I tried to install the rc5-version. The installation was going on fine.

But if i try to start amule on the console know the following msg appears

#amule
Initialising aMule

.... and nothing goes on?! What could be wrong?

I'm running red hat 9 and took the red hat rpm-package. the version 1.2.8 ran without problems. How could I reinstall the 1.2.8-version?

I don't think running amule as root is a very good idea. :)

I know. It's only for testing, but I think that's not the problem.

Try removing the file "clients.met" from ~/.aMule/
Oh, and running as root is NEVER EVER a good idea, not even for testing.
