Loosing serverlist
« on: November 06, 2004, 12:24:49 PM »

Since a few days I keep loosing my serverlist.
Since I still had rc5 (wich worked like a charm before) I updated to rc7, but the problem still persists.

I can connect to most of the servers, but at some point amule increases the "failed connect" for all servers and finally drops them.
Dropping dead Servers is of course a good thing - the question is: why do they all fail? Like I said, I can connect to most of them (if not all) manually...

Have ther been changes in Server policies lately?

My config has't changed, so I am really at a loss here...

something weird on your system I guess. AFAIK, there have been no changes in the serverlist /servers handling since.. rc2 maybe?
maybe you have no connection when trying to connect? Just a guess. check that.
Really strange from my point of view.
Greetings!

try maybe to disable your ipfilter, uncheck "remove dead servers after .." in the prefs .. and do you have high or low-id?

cheers

Hi people,

I have one machine behind a firewall, and it behaves like that too. The internet connection is not very reliable, so it gets isolated a few times. The machine always gets a low id (of course :) ). Then, i starts droping all servers. Maybe your internet connection has fallen for some period of time?

Cheers!
