I run amule from a launcher, then I open a console and I type amuleweb. A window is opened, where apears that it is listening.
And finally I open a web browser (firefox) and I try to go to http://localhost:4711 but an empty web page appears.

Do you know if in FBSD the root is the unique user that can open ports or sockets? I don't have any idea about it, it's just a question, and could be the answer, because I open amule, and amuleweb using a normal user.

This means that he has managed to open the ports.

You should *always* use amule as a normal user, never as root. I don't think that a normal user would be prohibited to open ports, but I am not sure, because I run linux here. Maybe someone using BSD reading this thread could help? ?(

Cheers!

Trasgo,

I repeat, *do not* run aMule as root user. You were warned. 8)

You must copy the webserver directory. Do:
$ cp /usr/share/amuleweb/webserver ~/.aMule
$ cp /usr/share/amuleweb/aMule.tmpl ~/.aMule

Also, would be nice if you read:
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Webserver

Cheers!
