1.) Please use the ru.po from http://www.amule.org/translations (click on the language name)

2.) Feel free to do so, you can discuss things here with the other translators here, if they disagree.

Hi shiroineko,

I appreciate your willingness to help us with the translation, but skipper_RUS is already working on it.
So, please contact him first, I don't want you two to do the whole work twice.

When you've finished the translation, just create a file attachment in the forums. (Click on additional options in the reply dialog)

Thanks for fast reply. Looks like I was too fast and careless to jump in before reading the whole thread :) I've contacted skipper_RUS allright... hope, he hasn't finished it all yet :)

Here is the latest version of the ru.po file.
There is still some work to do,  but it's ok.

Who did the job:
Dmitry  Borzenkov (shiroineko)   - most of the new translations
Ivan Nazimov (Skipper_RUS) - corrections, test and some translations too

An updated version of russian translation. If it isn't too late to inclue it, please, do. There were some really ugly strings in previous version.
Thanks.

Thank you, the translation has been committed!

I just want to ask you one favour: Please do not compress the translation, but use uncompressed files. This saves me a little work when testing the translation.

Something odd with current ru.po...
I downloaded the file from http://www.amule.org/translations/current_status.xml, and found that some phrases, e.g.

#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:881
msgid ""
"For a film you can say its length, its story, language ...\\n\\nand if it's "
"a fake, you can tell that to other users of aMule."
msgstr ""

or

#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:1615
msgid "Makes aMule prompt before exiting."
msgstr ""

already have a translation in my currently installed 2.2.1.
it's not a problem to translate it again, but what's the reason?

For the first one, "\n\n" has been changed to "\\n\\n". For the second one I don't know, maybe wording, capitalization or punctuation has changed.

I don't know where to ask such a questions, so i ask it here:
what's the meaning of these phrases, where do they meet?

#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:3429
msgid "Event Types"
msgstr ""

#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:2255
msgid "Download Queue Files"
msgstr ""

#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:1776
msgid "Bind local address to IP (empty for any):"
msgstr ""

Event types -> There are various events, i.e. you can set a commando to be executed once something happens. For instance there are the events "file is finished" or "new chat session started". "Event types" is the heading for the list of available events in preferences.

Download Queue Files -> This is the heading for the preference options regarding the files in the transfer list. (see Preferences->Interface)

Bind... -> If you have more than one ethernet interface you can tell aMule to use only one of these interfaces by specifying the ip of the interface.
Example: I have a wireless internet using my mobile phone for mobile use and a dsl line. I only want aMule to use the dsl line, therefore I put the ip of the dsl line there.

I hope this explanation helps you.

another question.
there is a phrase

#: src/SearchListCtrl.cpp:585
#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:365
#: src/muuli_wdr.cpp:1701
msgid "Download"

that is used in two different ways
(to) download - in search
download (limit) - in preferences

i don't think my language is the only that have no word to fit both, just no one noticed that yet.
is there a way to separate this message to two?
