Amule refusing to launch in OS X 10.2
« on: June 26, 2005, 07:44:49 AM »

I have OS X 10.2.8, and when I try to launch Amule 2.0, all that happen is that the little icon bounces, and then it vanishes.  The program itself refuses to launch.

Any known issues with this?

Yes.  Unfortunately, our Mac binary doesn't support 10.2.x, it requires 10.3 or better.

However, it may be aMule can be compiled to work on 10.2.8.  I don't know, since I don't have such a system with which to test.  If you want to try, visit the Mac OS X forum and we can help you.  :)

I doubt it. I've the feeling wxWidgets decided to drop 10.2 in favor of 10.3 at some point.

I don't think so.  There was recent discussion on the wx-dev mailing list about compiling on 10.1.  The knowledgeable people responded that they were sure it compiled on 10.2, but weren't sure about 10.1.  The original poster then proceeded to get it to compile on 10.1.
