Hi again
i see that no one gets in trouple to help a newbie
thats the problem with linux i thought it would be a good idea to switch ti linux and meet people learn some from them but it seems that you don't even bother making linux more userfriendly.
but anyway i will keep trying
this is what i get when i try to install

[root@localhost Download]# urpmi aMule-2.1.0-2.mdk2006.0.i586.rpm
Some package requested cannot be installed:
aMule-2.1.0-2.mdk2006.0.i586 (due to unsatisfied libwx_baseu-2.6.so.0)
Continue? (Y/n) n
[root@localhost Download]#

i'm using madriva 2006
any ideas?

If you download packages individually, you must satisfy the dependencies in the correct order. This means that you have to install wxGTK first and then aMule.

Alternatively, you can try to install aMule from a remote urpmi source. In that case urpmi will fetch the depencies automatically. Please have a look here, as an introduction:

Do you have another instance of urpmi or rpm running? Maybe in another terminal? Exit all other instances (use Ctrl+C in the terminal where it's running).

Serverlist:

For Kad, just wait a few minutes. It needs some time to connect.
