I've amulegui opened, but once closed it, amuled crashed with a CECSocket error: Input/Output error (phoenix, that's for you, even if it doesnt seems to be generated from your patch):

I use wx libs provided with debian sid, that is wx 2.6.1. And I use deb pkgs from vollstrecker.
If someone using debian could explain me how to update to a more correct version for wx, he's welcome...(a repository will be the best solution, faster indeed) I don't know if vollstrecker packages will dynamical use wx installed on my system or the one where he compiled the pkgs (I'm not so used to C programming)
could you please clarify those points?

You are probably using my "patch", the segfault happened at the same line of *((* int)0) = 0;

Remove the file ECSocket.cpp and restore it from the original sources. Or maybe you are running an old version, check it!

Yes, at that time, I was still using your patch, but it didnt seem to be related to that (apart from this bt, what do those "XXXXXXX.cpp: No such file or directory." means? i can't quite understand them...) but, as many times I've said, I'm not so tuned on C++...
Anyway, I've now switched to "original" 20060408, and on the next amuled crash, I'll update to a more recent snapshot

I am pretty sure that this is the effect of my patch. This is exactly what it is supposed to do, when an I/O error happen, segfault at line 367 of ECSocket.cpp.

Do not use this version for *anything*. It will segfault with probability equal to 1. ;)
