Remote connection to amule
« on: May 04, 2006, 10:06:06 PM »

Hi,
After long time back again. My apache server is running well on my nslu2.
I have full access to it from outside. Amule is running on lan quiet well on nslu2 also.
I have done port forwarding(4711,4712) on my router.
And changed the  ~/.aMule/remote.conf as discussed in wiki, but I can't connect to amule on port 4712 from outside on top of my dyndns address., like xyz.dyndns.org:4712
What can be the cause.

Thanks,

retry 4711 ;)

if you read the wiki carefully you should know that

4712 is the EC port where amuleweb connects to amule(d)

4711 is teh webinterface port which you use with firefox for example

No, Stefan, I have tried with xyz.dyndns.org:4711, but no response from outside. Strange that the same addressing works on lan.
On the same unit I have forwarded for apache port 80 which works.
My config is,
87.88.......(ISP)----192.168.0.2(modem)----192.168.0.1(router wan interface)----192.168.1.1(router lan interface)----192.168.1.78(nslu2)

Dyndns activated on modem, and deactivated on router. Port forwarding done in modem as 4711 for router. And again forwarding done for 4711 in router for nslu2.

well if the webinferface works in the lan its surely a setup error...
