I've been installing Ubuntu 12.04 in my VMWare player tonight and been typing here about all the quirks with it. Like the screen resolution being 3600 x 1920 or
SVN being still at 1.6. Well, aMule was just linking when Firefox crashed and when I restarted it
Windows crashed with a Bluescreen. So all I typed was lost. Oh well.
Bottom line: LTS is a hoot. Either they never installed it in a VM, or they don't care.
On the positive: they ship wx 2.8.12 at last, and aMule built smoothly (as expected, since gcc is still at 4.6.3).
