Hi,
this is a package of aMule 2.1.1 for SUSE 10.1 (i586), using wxGTK 2.6.3 (Unicoded):
http://rapidshare.de/files/20395555/aMule-2.1.1-0.i586.rpm.html
And this is the matching debuginfo package:
http://rapidshare.de/files/20396465/aMule-debuginfo-2.1.1-0.i586.rpm.html
The debuginfo package is needed only if you want to create a backtrace. You don't need to install it if you don't know what a backtrace is.
And a little request: Could someone with appropriate permission please remove the reference to my old RPM for 10.0 in the sticky thread? It doesn't work on 10.1 (I have built it on a 10.0 system and tried to make it compatible with both 10.0 and 10.1, but it didn't work) and we already have one for 10.0 by IhmSelbst, so there's no need for that one.
This one is built on a 10.1 system and works on 10.1 only.

Updated. :)
Thanks for the package!

Unfortunately, the link at http://rapidshare.de/files/20395555/aMule-2.1.1-0.i586.rpm.html is dead.
I can't seem to find the binary for SuSE10. anywhere. Can somebody help me, please?
Edit: In your link were some dots replacing text to short up the link. Fixed this.
-
Did I mess up anything with the links in the other thread? (Gotta check that.)
Anyways, the links in Gerd's post above DO work.
Edit: The link in the release thread is ok as well.

Thanks for trying to help, but I get this error everytime I try to download the file.
Download-session invalid. Please click here.
Possible reasons:
* Download-session expired. Direct-links last a few minutes for free users and a few days for premium-users.
* You requested this download-session from a different IP than yours. If you use AOL, try a different browser.
Please help ?(

Download works just fine here. I'll upload it to another hoster, please be patient for awhile.

Never mind. You're welcome.

The file is downloading! :D
You are, without a doubt......the man! :baby:

I tried to install the rpm though Konquerer. I said "Install Package with YaST", but it says "Package amule was not found on medium"'''
Can you help me?
Thanks for hosting the file..

Would you mind when we use the terminal instead?
Open up a terminal and cd to the directory, where the file is located.
su
rpm -i *aMule-2.1.1-0.i586.rpm
(the * is because the hoster prefixes something)
-
Thank you.....I will give the terminal a try.
I thought the file might have been corrupt, so I started downloading it again and deleted the one I initially downloaded.
Its currently 60% downloaded (128K ISDN).....I will have it in a few mins....
Please excuse my questions, I am new to OpenSuSE and normally use Kubuntu.

I now get the error "libgd.so.2 is needed by aMule-2.1.1-0.i586" - I am googling for the solution.
Thanks for your help so far

It worked!!
I installed the "gd" package of my SuSE DVD and the rpm worked!1
Thank you very much for all your patience and your help.
-
Yes, exactly. You need the "gd" package (from the DVD, next mirror or whatever) because amuleweb uses it.
-
Thanks - you guys are great.
greetings from South Africa!
