Title: AmULE crashes after 5 / 6 hour (ubuntu 6.06)

My amule crash and closed every 5-6 hours and I don’t know why, the log file register problem with gdk critical  or kadamelia error.

(amule:14763) : Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_gc_set_foreground: assertion `color != NULL' failed  

or

(amule:"more other number") : Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_gc_set_foreground: assertion `color != NULL' failed  

I have ubuntu 6.06 with gnome.

To refer to thedude0001, who quoted our great leader: "wxGTK 2.6.1 = old"

Please upgrade wx to 2.6.3.

Hi

I'm a bit of a Linux noob, how would I upgrade wxGTK in Ubuntu.  They only seem to have 2.6.1.2 in there repositories.  I'm not sure where's the best place to get the latest version from?

I haven't a clue how to compile source code.  Not sure I want to attempt it for fear of screwing up my system.

I seem to have the same problem as Kouta.  But I have upgraded to wxGTK 2.6.3 (patched) for Ubuntu 6.06 and aMule still crashes after a few hours.

Would upgrading to aMule 2.1.2 help and how can I do that in Ubuntu?  When I install the package found here (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?sid=&postid=56021#post56021) I get no icon in the Gnome menu and when I run amule from the terminal I get:

amule: /usr/lib/libwx_gtk2u_core-2.6.so.0: version `WXU_2.6.3' not found (required by amule)
Is there a more acurate way of checking I have wxGTK installed correctly?  Currently I'm just looking in Synaptic.
